Varsity Girls Basketball

Greg Brown is a 1990 graduate of Albuquerque High School. In 1990, Brown led Albuquerque High School to a state title and received "player of the year" honors. He spent
two years at New Mexico Junior College and the team amassed more wins than any other year in NMJC history, as well as earning a WJAC conference championship. Brown was named an All-American and Player of the year in the WJAC. Brown transferred to UNM and led is his team to the NCAA tournament twice and won a conference
championship. In 1994, he received Player of the Year honors for the
Western Athletic Conference and topped off his senior season with the
Francis Pomeroy Naismith Award, given each year to the best player in the
country under six feet. Brown has a Masters Degree in Sports
Administration and a minor in Public Administration and is currently in
the Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts, New Mexico
Lobo Hall of Fame and the Albuquerque/New Mexico Hall of Fame.
